National Measurement Plan Rehabilitation (ANQ)
The National Association for Quality Development in Hospitals and Clinics (ANQ) requires that in Switzerland the quality of medical results have to be evaluated. All Swiss rehabilitation clinics and divisions take part in the “National Measurement Plan Rehabilitation”. They obtain measures of the quality of their performance in each of the following therapeutic areas: musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, geriatric, internal, and oncological rehabilitation. The department of rehabilitation science at the Charité evaluates the medical performance of the clinics. The department calculates risk-adjusted clinic comparisons of the rehabilitation results and issues annual reports. Additionally, we compile and update the measurement specifications (“Data Manual”), monitor and analyse the quality and completeness of the data, and issue annual data quality reports. Furthermore, we generate annual results and data quality reports for each individual clinic to provide feedback for the clinics to inspire improvement with respect to their performance and data collection
